In addition to our usual CoSA business, we’ll be having presentations from The National Alliance of Children’s Trust and Prevention Fund/Birth and Foster Parent Network (BFPP)/Parent National Network(BPNN) – to talk about new tools for Birth and Foster Parent Collaboration; Family Equality –addressing the potential impact of Fulton v. City of Philadelphia on the world of foster care and beyond; and CHAMPS (Children Need Amazing Parents) sharing their analysis of state Diligent Recruitment Plans. They will also be addressing best practices and what we can do to make a difference.
We will also be sharing an exciting collaborative opportunity between CHAMPS and NFPA to provide a limited number of mini-grants for policy work and increasing partnerships with birth parents. This opportunity nicely dovetails with our new focus on Public Policy which will be led by our new Public Policy Committee Chair – Arnie Eby.
